Can the Justice of the Peace help me if I live in another district?

Yes. According to Louisiana Revised Statute 13:2614. This means that any Justice of the Peace in St. Charles Parish can handle a case from a person that lives in St. Charles Parish, even if that person lives in a different district than that particular Justice of the Peace.

Also, the District 5 Justice of the Peace is a commissioned notary. She can also help you with notarizing and drafting documents.
